Cherie graduated from Tomball College with an Associates of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology in May of 2000 and began her career working for at a large veterinary specialty practice in Houston, Texas. Cherie has worked on the clinical floor, assisted with clinical study trials, and worked in the operating rooms assisting on a variety of specialty surgeries. Cherie became the Procedural Service Manager leading Anesthesia, Surgery, Ophthalmology, Dentistry, and Neurology departments. She received her VTS in 2017 and has served on a variety of committees including the AVTS Board of Directors. Cherie enjoys supporting technician growth and elevating specialty career paths. Her passions are to continually advance her knowledge of surgery and to support technicians to pursue individual goals in veterinary technology, bringing excellence to the veterinary technician profession.
